What our guests are saying about us
I have been recently staying in the Westergate House for a few days
. I came to do musicworkshop, concert in Selby Abbey/it was a great experience. The owners/Hillary and Paul were looking after me and other guests really beautifull. The house was very nice, clean, peacefull. I liked a lots of traditional wooden furniture, chairs, doors too. There was a verygood choice, variety of the food.Something ,I really appreciated...every day, when I came back there was a delicious cake left on the table in my bedroom.I have also explored the Yorkshire National Park and also Yorkshire Dales.I have visited place called Robin Hoods Bay...really interesting. There is a historical village with a lots of mini and steep streets.I did also some hiking along the cliffs, hills/a beautifull scenery. This is suitable for solo walker, but also for the family hikes. There are many places to visit in Yorkshire Dales...rivers,hills,stone famhouses,bridges...very nice

I had a wonderful room called the gimcrack room very spacious and alsothe bedroom & facilities were very clean & comfortable and oposite to my room was a lovley place to sit and relaxthe bus stop is literally right outside the gate, making it super convenient to get into York city centre explore the city without worrying about parking or trafficI would definitely recommend this lovely B&B
This is a marvelous B&B
What an absolute find! It's a beautiful big house in its own grounds with plenty of parking. The owners are so warm and welcoming and VERY helpful, can't do enough for you. There's so much choice for breakfast and the room was fab. As well as the hospitality tray there were biscuits and cakes and bottled water in the fridge. I strongly recommend this B&B, it's better than a hotel.
